Chabad of Athens invites you to our annual "Leil Shavuot" – the traditional all-night Torah study session on Shavuot eve until dawn. Our sages tell us that in the morning when go-d came to give the Torah, our ancestors were sleeping. To rectify that , we observe this beautiful custom of nightlong study.
Our learning program will include reading "Tikun Leil Shavuot" – selections from Tanach, Talmud, and more, highlights of generations of torah studies.
We will conclude the night with a spacial class explaining the inner meaning of Shavuot.
Light refreshments will be served throughout the night.
You are warmly welcome to participate in this meaningful night – whether you join us for the entire night or just for a portion of the learning. No prior knowledge required!
