What would you answer to the question: “When did we receive the Torah?”.
The people of Israel heard the 10 Commandments on Mount Sinai 3331 years ago.
But G-d gives us the Torah every day, for us to study and apply it to our lives. This is why, every day in our morning prayers, we recite the Blessings on the Torah. Before starting its study, we praise G-d Who gave it to us. Immediately after, we continue by studying a short excerpt form the Bible and from the Mishna.
In this way, we start our day, connecting our minds to G-d and the Torah.
