"I don't think I can make a difference".
"I feel that I will not be able to change anything".
How many times have we heard or said these sentences? Many times in our life, we find ourselves in situations where, even though we know what's wrong and what needs to be done, we feel that whatever we will do will not have results. Consequently, we don't have the energy to do anything because we think it will not effect a change anyways.
The story of the holiday of Chanukah and the victory of the Macabim teaches us otherwise. It reminds us that when someone believes in something and puts in all that he's got to make it happen, he will eventually succeed, even if he or she is small and weak.
As for us, we only need to believe and make our effort and then, G-d will help us to accomplish our goal. If needed, he might even perform a miracle!
Shabbat Shalom!
